The worst thing you can do is use social media before your brain is fully awake. Your dopamine system is delicate, and algorithms are engineered to hijack it. Scrolling involves hundreds of micro-decisions, and each one drains your reserves for the day. When you engage with your feed first thing, you're feeding your brain a flood of quick emotional rewards before you've even had time to think. The dopamine rush can leave you mentally fatigued before your day even begins.
